Our Goal
Our goal at Cudgegong Park Murray Greys is
“Breeding High Quality Beef from Productive and Efficient Cattle”.
The attainment of this goal will help our cattle achieve high profitability for us and our clients.
Breeding Objectives
To enable our clients and ourselves to be more profitable by;
- Producing under strict commercial conditions, high performance seed
stock which are able to meet market specifications.
- Putting emphasis on high fertility by resticting joining periods of heifers
to eight weeks and cows to twelve weeks.
- Producing cows with adequate frame, low maintenance, and good milking
ability. Cows with a mature working condition weight of between 500 to 650 kilograms will be efficient converters of grass and give the genetic
flexibility so that progeny meet desired end market specifications
- Producing cattle with moderate birth weight, high growth, optimal
muscularity and carcase quality.
- Accurately describing growth traits, carcase traits and fertility traits.
- Maintaining inherent structural soundness and docility.
